Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how our practice collects, uses, protects, and shares personal information, including information related to text message (SMS) communication and the use of Artificial Intelligence.

1. Personal Information We Collect

We may collect personal information from you when you visit our website, complete forms, schedule services, or communicate with our office. This information may include:

  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Appointment and scheduling information
  • Intake and administrative information
  • Communication preferences (including SMS consent)

We do not collect sensitive clinical information through text messaging.

2. How Personal Information Is Used

Personal information is used only for legitimate business and care-related purposes, including:

  • Sending appointment reminders and office updates
  • Communicating administrative or billing information
  • Improving our services and website functionality
  • Complying with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements

Text messaging is used strictly for non-clinical communication, such as reminders and scheduling updates.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard your personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, in accordance with applicable privacy laws and HIPAA standards.

Please note that standard SMS text messaging may not be fully secure. By opting in to receive text messages, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

4. Who Personal Information Is Shared With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Personal information may be shared only with:

Your SMS consent preferences are kept confidential and used solely for communication with our practice.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

7. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide high-quality care, your provider may use an artificial intelligence (AI)–assisted note-taking tool to support clinical documentation. This tool helps generate clinical notes based on your therapy sessions, allowing your provider to focus more fully on you during sessions rather than on manual note-taking.

To create the clinical note, a temporary audio recording and/or transcript or summary of the session may be generated. Your provider carefully reviews, edits, and finalizes the clinical note to ensure accuracy and completeness. Once the clinical note has been created, the recording and any transcript are automatically deleted. The AI tool used by our practice is designed with privacy and confidentiality as top priorities. Session information is used solely for the purpose of your ongoing mental health care and is not used for any other purpose. All information is protected through encryption and secure data handling practices, and the tool operates under strict business associate agreements to ensure HIPAA compliance.
